HIGHLIGHTS FROM ASCENSION CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

from Mark Pellegrin, Superintendent

WELCOME TO NEW BEGINNINGS!
As we begin a new school year, I am reminded that God welcomes us to fresh starts and new beginnings every day. In Psalms 40:3 it reads, “He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord.” At Ascension Christian our hopes and prayers are that all of our students and families will experience a renewed relationship with Jesus that will catapult them to an amazing year of growth and maturity as Christians. We are thankful that you have chosen Ascension Christian as a partner in your child’s life. Together, we will create a loving, Christ-centered environment of educational excellence where every student has the opportunity to belong, believe, and become a light for the world. This is our motto and our promise to support you and your student to their highest potential spiritually and academically. We invite you to find a place where you can get connected to Ascension Christian School and serve. We hope that you will offer your gifts and talents as support for all students. Let’s work together to make Ascension Christian a “City on a Hill” where new beginnings are offered every day.

Ascension Christian School Piano Lab

Through the generosity of the Lamar Family Foundation, Ascension Christian was awarded a grant to support the development of a music program at the school. The piano lab at the school is one of the most impressive labs around, said Ascension Christian music director Dr. Borislava Iltcheva.

“I teach in numerous schools and I’m telling you this is one of the finest piano labs anywhere around. I am so appreciative of the Lamar Family and the vision they have to provide children with the opportunity to learn music.”

Ascension Christian School also supports students in learning string instruments such as the violin, viola, and the cello. Because of the grant students are able to take music classes as young as K4 through high school.
